I'm endlessly amused by the notion that Europe is in ruin caused by lefties implementing right wing ideas (neo liberalism) from which only right wing can save us.
You say quality of life has decreased. Compared to WHAT?
The horrors! Man, I've made so many shitty life choices that have led me to the point in my life where I don't think I could afford to have a family... But:
A) That's on me. Sure, there is a much higher cost of entry into a business than there was in the 90's, but if I had the balls I could try and make it in Africa, bringing them joys of markets we already have figured out.
B) Despite earning ~500 EUR/mo I still enjoy many amenities that were unavailable to my parents, and an unthinkable luxury to my grand parents. A car. If I have a kid - disposable diapers. A super computer I casually carry around and use to argue with strangers on the internet abput how life has supposedly go e to shit. Access to internet and free education. Access to education.
My grandparents worked hard jobs with heavy hours and then used their garden to have rabbits and vegetables to feed their kids. My grandfathers are dying from illnesses caused by years working in coal mines.
Because they were the lucky ones who survived what happened when Europe was full of nationalistic countries fighting among themselves.
So pitching this defeatist view of modern society to me is a hard sell buddy.
