Hello fellow whiskey reviewer's this is my very first whiskey review on Reddit. What better way to start and then with an Irish whiskey on St. Patrick's Day.
World Whiskey Review #1 - Knappogue castle 1994 very special reserve
Knappogue castle 1994 was an independent bottling of Bushmills made exclusively from malted barley, triple distilled and aged in oak cask.
I found this bottle at a liquor store in a small town in the middle of nowhere Kansas. Pushed to the back on the top shelf covered in dust listed for 30 usd. I've never herd of Knappogue so I thought I would take a risk and snagged it.
ABV: 40.0% 80pf
Age: 10 years
Distilled: 1994
Bottled: 2004
color: very light, dry yellow grass
Nose: dry apple, pear, honey, grassy, floral light but very appealing.
Palate: light, grassy, bitter, smooth, floral, apple, lemon
Finish: oak, dry, vanilla, refreshing

Notes: Overall I really enjoyed this whiskey. This makes me think of spring when everything is starting to bloom.
