Yes and no. Being an Angel is just a title, not mark of some heavenly posession. Mike, for example, used to be Roshee Troy, then attacked a high level Eclipsite, nearly got herself killed, was saved by Raphael, but couldn't control her ability (as in "I got torn to shreds from the inside"), was sent to Illumina for treatment. She used to be a "regular" Aurorian, now is something far more powerful, but actual angels had nothing to do with it.

Also, in her last file she says she will "fight LIKE Michael". Maybe it's another translation duck-up that was meant to go "AS Michael", maybe it means that she chose this name after a powerful hero. Like someone from the first generation of Angels.
