France is such an important country and I think it is imperative that it be filled, so I will put my hat in. I love Argentina a lot, but I've handled large Countries before and I think I could do more with France, so here goes nothing:
Argentina
For about 6 Months across quite a few Powers Subs, most of them with high realism standards akin to this Sub.
I have a good general understanding of the culture and history of France, and I have read literally every post made by France in the Sub thus far. I will admit my understanding of Internal French Politics specifically is a bit lacking, but having some required reading to do isn't really much of an issue for me. As far as European and other International Diplomacy and Politics, I feel like I have a good understanding
Extremely So. I do not tend post much with Argentina compared to Nations I've had in other Powers Subs, but I am active here every single day, constantly creeping and hanging out in IRC, and I read literally every single post that gets posted on a daily basis.
I think I can be very realistic. I've never been told off for unrealism in any other Powers Sub and I approach these games with a very serious and level headed approach, as I don't find fun in these Subs by "goofing around" but rather by immersing myself in the realism. I have received notable compliments from Mods and Players during my heyday as Norway in r/ColdWarMapGame before its downfall, but I feel like I haven't been reaching that same level of quality with Argentina and hope to have more success with France. I think I would place my Response to the recent Earthquake as what I am capable of.
Work on bringing France into the Future alongside my European Neighbours, not to mention working closely with countries like Germany on Technology, Science, Economic, and other wise Military and Diplomatic pursuits and working to strengthen the European Community. I also learned I greatly enjoy playing larger Countries after my experiences with Superpowers in the various Cold War Subs, and I also am really keen to try France as a larger Country I have never gotten to play before in any Sub and fill that vacant slot that really longs for an active player to fill it. I love Argentina and I always feel guilty for claim switching, especially since Latin America is finally getting interesting with Sierra and Brazil getting active, but I think Argentina has lost a bit of its luster considering all I've really been able to do is shake my fist at Britain over the Falklands and participate in some meager Diplomacy and run of the mill Military stuff (although winning FIFA was great).
Like in the above post, bring France into the Future and participate very actively on a whole host of Issues and Projects with my European comrades. I would also enjoy doing some Domestic problem solving for France and working as a strong Pillar in the advancement of European and Western Interests abroad, which would include sorting out my involvement in the Middle East and Africa (Syria in Particular) to advert any kind of catastrophe for France. I don't really have plans to do anything too out of line, but I think I could have some fun interacting with the American Republics and Russia and China.
My standards of Realism, my enthusiasm for playing such an important Country and my high levels of Activity are the main reasons why I think I should be picked for France. I realize that my actual Post count with Argentina is a bit bare, but that has a lot to do with the fact that Latin America was so empty and vacant for such a long time and I would fairly think. It is only really picking up recently, but I feel like switching to France is the right choice for me to have more fun with this game, and I think being behind such an important Country would allow me to put a lot more fun and content back into the game for everyone else.
