ive only had him for abt a week and fed him about 34 hrs before i handled him. i figured enough time had passed for me to work on handling him. however perhaps i should wait longer? hes abt 8 month old. he was being a good boy until after 5 minutes. i noticed he got close to one of my finger and slowly latched on. i had to run some water on him for abt a min or so until he let go. then he tried doing the same to my thumb but only got the side of it so he let go immediately. my guess is he’s still in feeding mode or hes young and experimenting with my fingers. if thats the case i hope he grows out of it? i would hate to constantly avoid getting my fingers chewed out every time i handle him, even after he matures. i did feed him in a different container idk if that might affect it. i know theres a whole debate with feeding in or out of the enclosure. im a newbie :)
