Allah says whoever is upon guidance from their lord is the successful ones.

And your using music as a catharsis,

Also, the prophet pbuh said, we are like moths around a fire attracted to the light we try to get super close, and the prophet pbuh is trying to get us away from the fire. Get too close you'll burn, we attracted to the lights of Dunya.

Omg, we can never have fun! We can't even listen to music! Cry me a river (pun unintended)

Change the word can't to won't or don't

For example

I can't date because of islam

I won't date because of islam

I don't date because of Islam.

Which one are you? These 3 mindset represent the 3 types of worship (represented in a hadith)

1) out of fear

2) for reward (like a laborer)

3) out of love (this is the best type)
