My mother board caught fire

I have an email promising a refund from a manager and I work for Amazon and used to be a csr and know as long as you have documentation from a manager you're going to get what's promised so yeah I do trust I'll get a refund if need be. The best 750w seasonic power supply I could find doesn't have nearly as good of reviews as the power supply I currently have it seems they have an issue with randomly shutting off a couple months into owning them and also a lot of them come with the wrong pins and this isn't just 1 or 2 people having those issues either or I'd just ignore it.

I was considering buying this psu but the reviews for the 750w model aren't nearly as good as my current PSU so that makes me nervous.

It's not a guarantee it'll fry my shit even if the PSU is the issue which I doubt since I used it in a cheap system for 6 months with no issues and then I get this new motherboard that's higher quality and three days later it's on fire. Why would I think it's the power supply? Doesn't the motherboard control how much power comes to and from it and then request the power from the PSU or at least monitor it? I'm not trying to be a smart ass I genuinely don't know. I'm new to this.

Also you mentioned what my time is worth I can try this again when i get my new mobo on tuesday or i can wait till the 27th to get the power supply unless you have a suggestion for something with more consistently good reviews? Because for all I know I'll order a PSU worse than my current that actually will fry my shit and would have wasted $100.
