My name is Zac Bowling and I’m running to be a delegate in Assembly District 18 in the Democratic Party! I need your vote!

That user's comments were removed by automoderator after being reported enough times for violating rule 2 which in hindsight it entirely was. After talking with the mod we agreed it didn't make sense to restore the comment.

Also, I'm not the only mod. /u/alamedamodbot is a real Alamedan, despite the username, of someone that uses the account to help me moderate.

Like I said in my reply, I hold myself to the same rules as everyone else, and just because I am a moderator doesn't mean that I can't post the same types of posts that are allowed by anyone else. I've done a lot to add content to grow this subreddit as well. I also didn't (and would never) distinguish my post as an official mod post or sticky it to gain an advantage and everyone is free to post as I did to promote themselves or their business if it relates to Alameda (rule 1). It's a cheap ad hominem to come at me for simply being a moderator. A follow-up comment (and that account's comment history to confirm) made it clear that the original attack was only cover since he only disagrees about an issue that I had supported and the comment made two false assertions with even a cursory review of the history to continue the personal attack. We can disagree about political issues but there is no reason to distort history for cheap punches.
