This is my plan to reach French B1 in 6 months on my own. Please tell me if it is enough to get there.

If you broke your legs and trying to practice walking, will you get better at walking? I think it's complicated, not as simplistic as you're trying to think about it.

If you're practicing your language before really getting the sound system of the language, you're learning bad habits, you're not improving. It actually seems like a common sense to me. I am not sure about research, I don't care about it too much. My English sounds better when I listen a lot, and it's getting worse if I just practice talking.

But again, it's complicated, at my current level I benefit from practicing talking. But for a total beginner it can be more harmful than useful, I believe.
