My thoughts after the news story on Fox 6 tonight.

Honestly it's this type of attitude that isn't helping at all. The whole "The rich people are doing this because they're mad" mentality will not work in our favor. Let's face it, money runs the world. Most of these people probably donate hefty amounts to the tools like Sheldon Wasserman who represent them.

Heck, at the "meeting" last week he straight up talked about how it was his duty to represent those residents, but he never once said that it was also his duty to represent us as well.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'm trying to be realistic in pointing out that we have to act and behave as though we're the minority here. We're not, but money makes us that way. All of the elected officials and police and sheriff's personnel are seemingly against us (At least according to that stupid meeting last week), so it's up to us to change their perceptions.

I realize how stupid this sounds, but this really means NOT throwing your trash on the ground and MORE IMPORTANTLY calling out people who do. One of the police officers at the "meeting" straight up said "Yeah, sometimes a few people ruin it for everyone." So... Instead of doing their jobs and punishing those people, they inflict the penalties as a blanket statement on all of us. It's dumb, but that's how it's always been done. So apparently it falls on us to police ourselves.

DO IT.

If you want to keep playing Pokemon Go at Lake Park, take the extra 10 percent effort between disappointing lure spawns and make sure that people around you aren't disrespecting the park or neighbors.

I heard reports that there were people among us who were legitimately threatening residents. I would imagine that maybe the residents started those verbal altercations based on how hot-headed and irrational they seem to be at times, but that's another situation where we need to be level-headed.

Yes, it's bullshit that we have to defend ourselves in our peaceful use of this PUBLIC park. That's not the way public parks were meant to be envisioned. But guess what, money wins. These folks have more power than we do on a per-individual basis. It's up to us, as the masses, to not only show that they're wrong about us and the game, but help them in their fight against those who abuse the park.

Let's face it. The vast majority of us understand that the park closes at 10 and that you shouldn't litter or throw your cigarette butts on the ground (Or do heroin and have sex in public and all the other ridiculous shit that one resident came up with that has somehow been run with by the media) but there's a few people who apparently do this shit.

We need to make sure that we're not being associated with crap like that. People who are ruining this whole experience for all of us are not just the rich neighbors, but also the assholes who can't shed a single bit of respect for those neighbors.

Make them.

Finally, on a side note, I've seen Dragonites spawn over the same house like four times now. YOU CAN REACH IT FROM THE PARK. DO NOT GO INTO THEIR DAMN YARD/DRIVEWAY. YOU CAN REACH IT FROM THE PARK. Niantic did this stupid shit where Dragonites spawn like every day now anyway, so why do you even care that much?
