Yup, each one is a songle fireball.

Now a prewarning, never ran nor read that module.

So, firstly I am guessing this Dragon has legendary resistances? And fireball is at DC 15. Assuming that Dragon, has a +3 dex, that would be 3 hit (if you habe 5 players). Basically they are probably gonna burn an entire round and do half damage.

Now the real dangerous part of this, they have to stand together to each pull a bead of the necklace and throw it, and I am guessing Dragon also has a legendary actions correct?

Thats right group up together, its not like the dragon has a multiple AoE attacks... Also keep in mind, fireball is an AoE spell as well and Dragon is gonna be getting on top of them, dont want burn yourself now do you?
