Is “negging” a thing?

3 months? more like a year and a half starting at the bottom of the totem pole rising to a 6 person team working for the founder. I was let go because of covid layoffs. I was the only one on the team with less than 10 years experience. I only had 1.5 years total.

As far as being cocky I’m a Go dev, expert in docker/kubernetes. Top 5 percent js, css, react LinkedIn assessments (I’m not a front end engineer). Assessments in all the major cloud services. ~7 years using node for everything from hardware control to algo trading. I have awards from 3 hackathons. I’ve worked in production environments at 2 of the big four.

When I got let go the devops tech leads at my company came to me for questions.

Maybe I am cocky. When nobody else even finished the tech problems and you complete all the problems in half the time it feels pretty good. I’m guessing you don’t know what that’s like.

But I try to keep an open mind. My mentor with a masters from mit would probably attest to that. My old roommates (both Ivy League phds) who I helped with algo practice would attest to that. (All of whom are way smarter than me btw)

Your criticism is not criticism it’s just trolling. That’s why they call it a troll. See mirror. See lifestyle (your comment karma / time on reddit wow)

Again see my dialog with literally anyone else in this thread for examples of useful input.
