Ayahuasca Might be a Treatment Option for Crack Cocaine Dependence.

I‘ve done it four times. My daddy issues got sewn up 100% within the first two hours of onset and after the fourth time I felt really good for about three months.

It‘s a very good non-addictive natural antidepressant but it‘s expensive and access can be an issue. Also, I would NEVER sit with anyone who hasn’t worked with it for less than ten years. You are truly in a vulnerable state. It‘s an exceedingly potent psychedelic and it‘s to be respected therein.

For crack cocaine addiction though? Everyone is different but I‘m not sure it would be super effective. The other thing to look at is after care. Does the patient have a good network? Life skills? Etc.

From what I have seen and read it would appear that ibogaine may be a better tool to help with the more hardcore addictions such as crack and heroin.

Again, all of this would depend on the after care and stuff like housing, outside influences, etc.

These psychedelic approaches are often talked up as silver bullets but they are not. They are definitely good at offering the user a mirror so to speak to really get some personal insight.
