[ask] how to keep education expenses cheap?

Get instate tuition somehow. Idk about VA but a few people I went to undergrad (B.Arch) and grad school with managed to get instate tuition in the respective state either by a year off working full time or doing a year as a full-time CC student.

If you can't do that and otherwise can't afford the degree through scholarships, etc., try to find somewhere in state to do undergrad and hope you can get tuition waved at a grad school. Architecture degrees are extremely expensive and in all seriousness, probably not worth taking on loads of debt to attain. Look, I love my job and think I make decent money but if I graduated with 100k debt, I'd probably have a different outlook. It sucks but it's just the reality of this profession
