A New Exhibit Wants to Reframe the Atrocities of Colonialism. Are Americans Ready for That Conversation?

"I worry that the largely U.S. audience that visits the Blanton without this context isn’t ready for such a nuanced conversation about colonialism." In my experience, most people on r/Nativeamerican are not ready for a nuanced conversation on the topic. I've seen so much misinformation and ignorance come from here conserning the history of "Latin" America. Some people outright just inventing or erasing history to fit an oversimplified narrative. You're talking about 500 years of complex history spanning many unique of eras, ever changing leadership, ever changing cultures across an entire continent. TBH even I am guilty of oversimplifying the topic.
