NNL Rant

As a competitor, I just feel like the whole course design was rude. Nothing wrong with the obstacles themselves. But the way they were strung together allowed pretty much nobody to show what they were capable of. When your first obstacle takes out: 40% of male pros, 56% of female pros, 55% of male masters, 83% of female masters...

Then your first obstacle is too hard. And you should have known that before you committed to it. Just because Drew can make it, doesn’t mean everyone can.

So, keep that obstacle. It was original and cool. But move it later. Let people (especially those who flew in from Australia!) who paid $150 to compete spend a bit more than 3 seconds on your course.

The entire thing was a bit of a dumpster fire, from the way it was run, to the organizer telling the fans that the overcrowding was their fault because he hadn’t staffed it well enough, to the obstacles themselves. It wasn’t a good look for NNL.
