Is this normal ?

First off, learn about dog coats before you state"It is too hot for that type of coat." Double layered coats are great for dogs to adapt to many temperatures, including the Florida heat. It insulates them, and protects them from the sun. Their body will adjust and their undercoat won't grow quite as think.

Huskies are not much different from any other dog in the Florida climate - so if you are angry at people with Huskies, be just as angry at people with any dog in those apartments.

There are plenty of easy ways to get exercise for your Husky. What is the difference between a person living with a Husky in an apartment in the north vs the south when it comes to exercise?

The only difference comes from if the owner takes them out enough. I live in Florida, and my husky and I go to the beach at least once every two weeks, walk/run twice a day (2 miles) and he plays in the yard. But he has plenty of days he doesn't want to get up and do anything, because he can be a lazy little butt.
