Now hiring at all DEPS locations [x-post r/Cincinnati]

If hired, PLEASE be a team player.

DEPS is not normal. Many of the rules do not apply here, from social expectations all the way up to certain laws of physics. Most of your previous experience will go right out the window (metaphorically--there are bars on the windows so it would probably get stuck). That being said, here are some guidelines I think are important:

Don't fuck over your crew. That means DO pull your weight, DON'T pull any nonsense like calling in constantly or trying to avoid actual work.

Don't play on your phone. We like to keep them on us for safety reasons, but I'll happily confiscate that shit if you can't control your compulsive texting.

Don't be a little bitch. There will be times when things won't go your way. Deal with it like an adult. Don't get shitty with co-workers, don't be passive aggressive, and DON'T MAKE YOUR BAD MOOD ANYONE ELSE'S PROBLEM.

Don't open-carry in the store, and if you carry concealed, DON'T talk about it, ever.

Don't abuse your power. We have more ability to say "no we aren't serving you" than most places, which is awesome when people come in drunk, or hurl insults at the cashiers, or attempt to behave in a threatening way. We can shut it down, unlike a lot of service industry jobs where you're expected to take it with a smile. HOWEVER. Choose your battles. If we kicked out every rude customer, we'd only have about five left. It's important to decide where "the line" is for you, and stick to that, and be secure in the knowledge that your crew will have your back. Just don't get overzealous.

Don't come in wasted or otherwise impaired to the point you're nonfunctional. Don't steal. Don't be a narcotics agent. Don't be a dick. Those really should go without saying.

If this seems excessive, keep in mind we don't actually have an employee manual or any kind of orientation really, so... consider yourself trained.

TL;DR Awesome people ONLY! You've been warned.
