It's the only way to travel

The girls probably are used to it if he is a common ref at the school.... but also they are teenagers around boys in tight singlets.

Not trying to be overly crude with this reply, but I remember wrestling in high school. The girls who didn't have family involved, or were not there to be actual support in some other way, would openly let people know where their attention was.

Pretty sure by the end of the season, some of those girls still didn't understand how wrestling worked, they were paying attention to more important things.

At our high school the girls would put on the award show. The serious girls handed out real awards after/while the coach acknowledged his star wrestlers. The other girls would give out the "hottest guy" awards and give their 'growls' that would not be allowed if the genders were reversed.

I stopped wrestling, but my brother was awesome at it and continued. His last year the girls gave up on censoring themselves and awarded him the award of... well... "who we would all sleep with," only better worded (but still the unquestionable intent and interpretation). It was so blatent that they weren't allowed back to the podium to continue their presentation after that.
