Treating infertility with massage?

There is no way to know that. My husband has a cousin who is married to a Greek Orthodox priest and they offered us the use of the church’s fertility belt. Apparently women in their church have worn it and gone on to become pregnant... but there is no way to prove the belt caused that.

I’m actually Eastern Orthodox and I think that what was offered somehow got mistakenly described. What I am going to explain is in no way an endorsement or anything other than information.

in Greece there is a island (actually a peninsula, but who‘s counting) full of monasteries called Mt. Athos. One of the monasteries has a relic that they claim to be the belt worn by Theotakos. It is kept in a golden box and is purported to bestow miracles upon some of those who come into its presence. There is a pious practice of touching ribbons to the reliquary and then giving them to the infertile couple to wear while they fast and pray for a child.

However, when it leaves the island, the monks mostly bring it out to the hospitals of those who are dying to given them comfort.

Have I as a member of the faith solicited such assistance? Nope. Am I holding out for some miracle? Not really. All the EO priests that I have spoken to about this have discouraged my husband and I personally from chasing miracles and reminded me that God makes fertility doctors too. Unlike Catholics, the Orthodox can be okay with ART.

I do not want to ruin your speculative fun (which actually is pretty funny) but thought it might be helpful to give you a little backstory on what I think what it was referring to.
