A simple solution would be "....nickname (full name)..."

Although for me it's not much of an issue when any nickname or title is translated as the full name. Unless you are deaf you will probably be able to hear quite clearly that a different word was said compared to the subtitles. You can look it up later and learn something. It's a minor thing that doesn't really matter that much compared to other translation/localization challenges.

For idioms on other hand, I very much prefer a literal translation with an explanation (even if the explanation is so long you couldn't possibly read it all in real time) rather than a localization where another English expression is used that is sort of equivalent. But it's a judgment call and requires more effort.
