What is a seemingly innocent question that is actually really insensitive or rude to ask?

There's this anime, where a very tiny fraction of the population is different... in particular they are almost entirely human versions of mythological creatures like vampires, dullahans and succubi (I say almost entirely human because they have some traits of those creatures, but they are not full dracula in a castle and such).

The story is about a few of those in school age, dealing with their nature, and their teacher, who is extremely curious about them, in a blunt but good natured way. He tends to get lost in thought, ask insensitive stuff, etc.

On the very surface, is just a silly story about a few supernatural girls with a very upbeat theme, but I think it does teach several lessons about excessive curiosity, insensitivity, thinking about how the other person would feel, etc.
