The trick is less water, a pipette and a 100ml beaker.

Let’s say you have 30/500mg co-codamol any opiate/opioid should work:

For 10 pills, snap them or crush in beaker.

-Add 30ml Lukewarm water and let it dissolve for 15-20mins

-freeze for 20-30mins, depends on freezer you don’t want a top layer of ice to form but you want it just before freezing (comes with practice)

-using a 5-10ml pipette remove water, it’s impossible to get it all (3ml pipette, aim for 7-8 pulls, 9 if lucky)

-filter through wet coffee filter, preferably lab filters.

this should get you what you need but you can take it further to get the pure drug

-Evaporate some of the water off and refreeze as this will cause more APAP to crash out

-repeat

the more repeats decrease the yield

Alternatively you can use a base such as sodium hydroxide to freebase the drug and make it non-polar (a drug salt is polar as is water, like dissolves like)

Add a non polar solvent such as naphtha (pure, not lighter fluid)

OPTIONALLY you can add a concentrated salt solution (NaCl) at the correct amount relative to the opiate solution to prevent an emulsion. This makes the water more polar-repelling the non polar solvent so they don’t mix and have more distinct layers

-Stir the non polar solvent with the water so the codeine freebase dissolved into the solvent and pull it off then evaporate, repeat a couple times

OPTIONAL ‘Resalt’ the opiate with an acid to make it soluble again (not required if taking orally) this can be done with weak acids such as citric acid- add the opiate to water and slowly add citric acid crystals until you see it dissolve, it usually doesn’t take much acid, drink the solution or evaporate it. DO NOT DRINK IF YOU HAVE USED A STRONG ACID, citric acid is generally edible, used to make sour candy and found in citrus fruits.

DISCLAMER, If you don’t have chemistry knowledge stay away from using dangerous acid the drugs commonly come in the salt form of (Hydrochloride, sulfuric and phosphoric)

-To clean the isolated crystals once salted put in a filter dampened with a non polar solvent and add small amounts of non polar solvents at a time-This will not dissolve the salted drug but ‘wash’ off impurities coating the crystals.- *DRY the drug before consumption

AlTERNATIVELY instead of adding sodium hydroxide of a base.

-Add 3/4 to more than the volume of water of non polar solvent, this should make the codeine crash out of the water due to the non polar solvent ‘weakening’ the waters polarity- decreasing the solubility of the opiate.

-Then ‘gently’ decant both solvents (water and non polar solvent) making sure the opiate doesn’t dissolve back into the water (pipette will help.

-Remove opiate crystals, allow them to completely dry so there is no dangerous solvent on them

RESULTS from both methods-Nice opiate crystals, can take a couple of attempts before you get a good result.
