Part is too large for lathe, need recommendations for 3rd party services

So you want an 8' long, 3/4" diameter rod, to taper from .375" to .750", along the full length if I'm understanding correctly? Swiss type lathes are great for small and long slender parts, but 8' is another story. I'm not sure if there is a Swiss lathe technique that could support the turned end as it was cut and pushed thru the spindle. It would need something to support it at that length, so that the rod didn't start whipping and bend 90degs.
