Caveat emptor. Go to a local master Gardener/University Extension and ask who has good peppers, ask if you can buy seeds from them. Don't make huge orders online without verifying the supplier. Make transactions in person so you're fully aware of what the product you're getting is. All pretty basic rules to life.

Sure shopping online is convenient, but you have to do it right and make small test purchases before investing heavily in them. There were plenty of warnings available to you, if you had done minimal research you would have probably made a test purchase. Seeds from a distributor probably won't be regionally climatized to your specific growing area anyway. Local growers will always offer a significantly better product.
