Both of those people lobby their goveners towards laws favoring their side. However, neither has a valid argument because most people in America think that the 2nd amendment(the gun law) is the right to bear arms.

The intention of the law does not change the law. I live on land zoned A-35. It allows for me to build two houses with the intention that one would be for temporary agricultural workers. It allows for me to get around building codes for "agricultural buildings"

In practice I am able to keep a rental property and run a commercial store out of a building I was able to build with a small fraction of the regulatory structure, because the law states that I can build two houses and that I can build agricultural buildings without having to be up to any building code.
