Perfect writing setting

Where do you place your table? Do you place it in the corner of your room where you have nothing to face but the wall? Do you place it where it's close to a window?

it's in the center of my large bedroom (30x30') next to my bed where i spend the majority of the time in. it's facing a floor to ceiling (16' high) window overlooking the pool - but i always keep the curtains shut as i dislike light - so never see the pool. also facing fireplace with TV hung on it, but it's never on when i write

What font do you use? What font size and colour do you use?

I use Ulysses - and large font cause i have neuro problems - equivalent to 24pt, san serif

Dim (hate light) - i keep it on the 4th bar on a Mac (from left)

Do you listen to music while writing? Tell about your music choice and preferred volume.

I play the same song on repeat-one when writing, i have a bunch to choose from to fit the mood. I find it creates an ambiance, emotion - and keeps me in that train of through while i write for a few hours. i keep it low if there are words so the words aren't distracting

How bright is your room?

I live in almost blackness, there's one clamp lamp that lights up a red wall above my hanging bubble chair. Have to take vitamin D supplements to keep my levels up

Do you have friends or family around you when you write?

Nobody is allowed in my house, ever. (except maid and whomever i'm fucking in a one night stand)

What do you during breaks?

Sleep, eat shit, barhop, fap, watch films, read, reddit graze, take baths, eat xanax, experience ennui or terror

What are the food items or beverage that you prefer while or before writing? Do you eat while you write?

bombay soda with an ice ball, chocolate covered granola, bacon pizza, peppermint patties, cherries, soda water, lucky charms - i don't eat when i write, just drink - but if i take a break i eat

Does keeping your writing table and room clean have any effect on your writing and productivity?

if i waited for my desk to be clean i would never write, but i do feel better when the maid cleans it, tho i always worry she's stolen something, life is better with a clean environment.. i've started practicing mindfulness - where everything has it's place and i put it back in the place i took it - but that feels like a robot

Let's say you write 1000 words a day. How many words do you read in comparison?

i listen to audiobooks since reading hurts my head. on avg i listen to 3 books a week

How much time do you take between writing and editing your articles? Does the amount of time have any effect on the outcome?

the more time you spend on anything the better it will be, i leave things alone for a week or a month and then come back and start again.
