Also, legal cannabis attracts both new and old users back into the market. My parents picked up smoking weed since it became legalized, and an uncle, both of which would never bother with black market products.

If you think the black market will keep up with legal sales in Canada I don't think you've been paying close enough attention. I thought that too, a couple years ago. Not the case anymore. That is backed up by quarterly results in HITI, FAF, CHOOM and the sqdc, to name a few, which have all posted yoy increases on almost all positive fronts.

Gullible or not the black market is losing substantial market value. If you're growing for your own needs that's a different argument and not related.
