Picked up these books for free a number of years ago because of how beautiful they were. Sat on my shelf until I wanted to revisit 'Look Homeward, Angel' today

I scored these mint condition books a number of years ago for free. You can never have enough classics on the shelves. Every single one of them have never been read.

These looked special and caught my eye. They were clearly reprinted with care and attention to detail. Brought them home, and they've sat on my shelf since.

I watched the movie 'Genius' last night and I decided to revisit 'Look Homeward, Angel' because of it. Perfect time to grab one of those awesome books that I got years ago.

Finally took a closer look at them and had to do some research. Turns out they're actually sought after reprints, understandably. Facsimile reprints of first edition classics by a publisher named First Edition Library. They are really great.

Actually turns out at least one of them might be quite valuable. The Great Gatsby turns out to be one from their first run of 2500. The indicator is the missing 'FEL' colophon from the inside of the dust jacket. And it's as close to mint as you can imagine.
