The Plains of Duthyor Part 2

Daniel watched the elf girl to be sure he wasn't in danger, but that was all but assured when she fell asleep. Sighing, he took a look back at where he must have fallen when he fell down the cave. However, when he looked, there was no cave. Impossibly, he was in a forest that had way different trees than the one behind his house. His gaze landed on the bear skins he had cut. 'At least the animals are the same so far' he thought. He took a chip out of the bag of Doritos he was eating, killing the bag, and put it back in his backpack, so as to not litter. 'Maybe I should ask her if I can go to her house to sleep? Would that seem creepy? I have money, I could pay them' he thought. Just as he was deciding, the elf lady woke up, and looked at him. He looked at her for a moment, before he got up, shouldered his pack, grabbed his rifle, and scanned the area around them, ever alert to danger. She got up, and making sure that her dress wasn't dirty, walked up to him and said, in perfect english, "Who and what are you?". He smiled, realizing that there probably weren't any humans in this place if she didn't know what he was. "I'm Daniel Krieg, and I'm a human. If I may, where are we?" he said, to which the elf replied "Darrowwood, your outside of Darrowwood, in the Kingdom of Duthyor". Snorting, he finally decided to ask: "Do you mind if I follow you home? Not to be creepy or anything, but I have just no clue as to where I am and your answer didn't help. I have no where to stay. But if not, I understand, creepy stranger, and all that." She looked at him with a confused expression before saying "If you have no where else, you can come with me, my family will understand once I tell them you saved me from a bear with that bow of yours", and then started to walk into to woods. Following her, he said "but I didn't, the bear attacked me, not you!". She turned while walking and smiled at him. Realizing far to late to avoid embarrassment, he said "oh" before looking away and scanning the trees again. It took them about half an hour to make the journey to her house. "I'm Deila by the way" the elf said, and he nodded his head to let her know he had heard. "how long was I asleep for?" "'Bout 2 hours" he said, to which she nodded and opened the door to her house, which turned out to be a bakery. Walking in, he noticed that everything was slightly small sized, the table, the chairs, the doorways, even the bread oven was small, more like a glorified microwave if going by size. Dawning back to his arrival in the village, he noticed that there were about 34 buildings, meaning that there probably was only the one bakery and he was in it. "Just sit at the table here until my family wakes up, shouldn't be too long" Deila said, and then walked off. Sighing, (he did that alot didn't he?) he sat down at the slightly small table and took out a pack of cards, and began to play solitaire.

Deila watched him with the big cards for about a minute, before hearing the sound of her parents bedroom door opening, and went up the stairs so that she could tell them so they aren't surprised and get the wrong idea. "Deila! Your Home! We were so worried when you didn't return last night. Where were you?" her mom said once she caught sight of her. Pulling her into a hug, Deila sat down on their bed and her father came and sat down with her, her mother still standing. "Mom, Dad. Don't get mad at me, but I brought something home." she said. A confused look came over her parents faces. "what did you bring?" her father asked, tilting his head. "well... I brought some sort of creature home. No Mom! Not like that! It's Sentient, and it actually saved me from a bear in the woods!" she said hurriedly, as her father stood up and picked up his sword next to his bed. Putting it down, her father walked over to the stairs and glanced down before coming back in and shutting the door. "what IS that?" her father asked, opening the door a crack and glancing through it. "It said it was a Human, and it's... HIS name is Daniel" she said, as she realized that he was not an it anymore. She got up and walked over to her father, trying to calm him. "I invited him to stay here for a while, since..." "WHAT!" her father said, before looking at her like she was crazy. "why would you do that?" "He said he had no idea where he was, and that Dorrowwood wasn't something he recognized. He also said he had no where to go" she said, matter-of-factly. Her mother walked over to her and grabbed her hand. "You said he saved you from a bear. What with? Sword? Spear? Bow?" her mother said. Deila thought for a moment. "It was some sort of a bow, however, it had no string and I didn't see an arrow when he shot." she answered. Looking at her parents, she walked to the door and opened it before turning to them and telling them to follow her. "why?" her father asked, grabbing his sword and putting it on his belt scabbard before following her, Her mother right behind him. "I'll introduce you two to him" she said, before walking down the stairs, he parents in tow, and steadied herself for what was about to come.
