Plato's Closet!! Have one in your area? Use it!

I definitely understand everyone’s concerns and criticisms but here’s some tips/ facts(?) as an employee:

  • we sell everything we get for approximately 60% of what we buy it for so an example if we get Lululemon leggings we price them at around $40-45 CAD and give the person around $18 for the pair. (Side note: definitely understand this is a rip off but we never claim to give the best prices. We enter it into a program which generated the quote for us)

  • for brands it really depends who’s working! I will not lie some people be dumb and don’t know brands so I’m sorry if you’ve brought in nice things and they’ve refused some stuff but at the same time we can’t take anything too high end as theres no real way for us to authenticate if it’s real

-if we don’t take anything from you or we don’t take a lot from you believe me it’s not bc we don’t want to give u money, it’s most likely bc we don’t want to get in trouble from our supervisors. 90% of the time that I pass is so I don’t get in trouble bc if we buy an item that has something wrong (worn, stained, fake, pilled, white, etc...) it has our name on it and our bosses can see and get very mad at us. I hate when we have zero buys. I really try to take at least one thing from everyone but it’s hard.

In conclusion: yes some of the criticisms are true but I try my best to help everyone and make it a pleasant experience as possible
