Property Lock Ups

Maybe to the OP it does make a difference, or maybe it doesn’t. It was used to highlight my point that the festival is 5 days long and fairly expensive therefore if someone wants to straighten their hair for the occasion, why not. I would dress differently for a meal in McDonald’s than I would for a fancy restaurant. This is coming from a female viewpoint to a female OP though - there is a very male ‘I just bring a pair of boots and a tent and don’t shower for a week, anyone else who dares make an effort is weak and not doing glasto properly’ viewpoint seems prominent on Reddit. It tends to have slight hints of misogyny - the idea that girls who do their makeup and hair and wear glitter and care about their outfits somehow aren’t fully worthy of a ticket compared to the men who rough it. I would bet the person who made the original ‘straighteners at Glasto’ comment (that’s not you so I’m not starting an argument with you at all!) is male, and that’s who I was responding to asking them to clarify the issue.
