Transferring to DLSU

Incredibly delayed DLSU Law student here. Up until recently, DLSU had a relatively lenient retention policy and had some laxity when it came to students managing their load for semester(i.e if you fail a 2L pre-req subject, you can still take 3L subjects along with the 2L subject you have to retake; you can drop a subject just because you feel like di ka ready, etc). No frat violence din since frats are banned so there's this notion that it's "less-toxic" here.

The truth is lagi nagkakagulo pag enrollment season because the school still hasn't figured out a fool-proof enlistment process that works under any circumstance and the admin keeps amending the school's curriculum so lagi may confusion about what subjects need to be taken and what subjects we should expect to be offered.

The school's also amped up its standards, maybe rightfully so. Problem is that I'm from a generation of students who came in because DLSU was THEN marketed as a school that had a lax retention policy but still afforded each and every student that matriculated quality teaching. Due to LoA and having to underload during the pandemic years, ipit ako trying to graduate all while the school sends the current generation through the gauntlet of new gatekeeper legendary profs and tougher school policies.

I have a love-hate relationship with this school. Great profs and environment but the enlistment drama at the start of every sem is draining. I had a chance to graduate earlier but an enlistment problem messed it all up.

Might be less toxic than other schools but it would be a lie to say that this is some heavenly respite.
