I installed my disc of Metal Gear Solid V. Patched it. Launched it. After bugging me about online stuff, screen goes black and never recovers. I am able to back to the home screen no problem.

I use Patch Installer to uninstall the patch. Launch the game as v1.00. Go through a lengthy intro and arrive at a point where I'm offered the option to create a new game. I close it and install the patch, same as above. It looks like it gets to a point where it means to autosave something because it has a dark black text in the middle of a black screen (with no text) before going completely black.

Any ideas why I can run the base game no problem, but not if it's patched? This is retail game disc on a 9.00 JB. Over two dozen games successfully played, dumped, tested, etc. This is a first of sorts.

This is whether I have my DNS as default or custom. And it doesn't seem to matter if I delete the game's save from the HD or not.
