Psych thoughts and advice

There's an EBA you can google for salary as a junior doctor by state. My base pay as an intern was about 80k but I hit 110kish with penalty rates.

PGY = postgrad year so PGY1 = intern.

I believe applications for psych also vary by state. My understanding is it's a lucrative profession with good hours and fairly easy entry (I personally know a few peers who got onto the program starting at PGY2/3 but idk if this will change by the time you would graduate). I hear the actual exams and training are very difficult however. I reckon with a psychologist background and demonstrating early interest you are very likely to get onto training with no issues. I suggest you check out pagingdr for more info tbh. They have a psych thread.

Disclaimer: this is all hearsay and I have no personal experience.
