  • Will the Focus mechanic return? Since we didn't see any of that in gameplay videos and it is hard to imagine how it would work if there are other players in the game.

Focus is not coming back. The main reason being it removes that exploit for detecting someone is in your game. ;) -Dom

t has been mentioned that as you work through the game, everything you do (assuming missions) gives you followers.

  • My question is, is there any situations in the game that can occur where you lose your followers? e.g Something similar to the reputation system in WD1; where doing bad things would make you lose some of your following? Are digital trip back? I loved them in the first game. Will there be any cheats in the game? if there is, you could call them 'reality hacks' then it's lore friendly _~

We do not want you to have long term punishments for your actions (like losing followers). There is still consequences to how you play, but the game does not hold "grudges" against you. Gaining followers will have you progress in the narrative and it will also grow your ability to hack. -Dom

  • Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to answer some of our questions, I think I speak on behalf of everyone here when I say we really do appreciate it. Here's a couple of my questions and I completely understand if you can't answer some of them.
  1. Will you have the ability to punch/attack civilians at will? If so, will it have a negative impact of some sorts?

  2. Will there be multiple save slots this time around?

  3. Can we expect Focus Mode to return in some capacity?

  4. Gaining income in the first Watch Dogs was pretty easy, so will the enecomy be a bit more in-depth in this game?

  5. Will we have the ability to remove Marcus's hat or glasses? I know we can change to a different clothing option, but can we remove it completely?

  6. Headquarters are confirmed. Will each one be unique or is there a main hideout and all of the others are extremely similar?

  7. Easter Eggs is one of the things I enjoyed most about Watch Dogs. Can we expect a lot more of them and possibly a cameo from a previous game. cough

  8. We've only seen two player co-op so far (on screen), can we expect free roam lobbies to return with more than 2 players?

  9. Can we enter more buildings this time around while free roaming?

  10. Microtransactions? I'm assuming it will be for cosmetic wear but there hasn't been an official statement as of yet. Again, I really appreciate you all for putting this together and I want to extend my appreciation to the whole Watch Dogs team for all of their hard work and dedication_

  11. Yes. Doing so could cause them to fight back, attract other civilians to defend them, have cops called on you, attract nearby cops to intervene, ...

  13. You can expect some more. ;)

  14. There is no such thing as a free roaming lobby anymore since the whole world can be a natural lobby at any time. As you play in solo, you can meet other players in the world and have fun together. Coop team size is limited to 2. Also, more then 2 players can together, but that will imply PvP. (more on that later)

  15. No in game currency. No Pay to win. We do indeed plan for some customization packs available through first party stores but those do not have gameplay impact. Note that there will already be hundreds of varied custo items available in game at launch.

  • how representative is the vertical slice of the final game? how far along in development is the game at the moment?

We are alpha (all game content and features done in some form) and working toward Beta (polish, debug, more production value..). We shrunk the Penthouse mission you saw so it was faster to show but it is the "real game". -Dom
