[Question] Considering a Pebble Watch or Two - Is It Worth It?

Well I use it every day and I'm pretty surprised how quickly I got used to having it and getting notifications on it.

I spent a lot of time commuting and a large part of the drain on my phone was the screen. I found my phone battery lasting longer because I wasn't checking my phone as often.

My phone can be charging on my desk while I'm on the other side of the office talking to someone. If it rings I can see if I need to grab my phone or can ignore it.

I use trains and buses quite a bit and the UK Transport app is more convenient and actually faster to check next bus or train than doing it on the phone, let alone the battery saving.

I can stick checklists right on my wrist with the evernote app. I've got timers set up in multi timer for about 5 routine things that are useful to time.

The Glance app shows me time, date, weather and phone battery level. One click and I'm scrolling through my Google calendar (also useful for checking booking numbers, when travelling, seat numbers etc.) a different click gives me the weather for the next few days.

NavMe sends Google satnav directions to my wrist if I'm walking somewhere I don't know and I'm not sure I want to keep pulling an expensive phone out of my pocket and looking like a tourist.

It's easy to set a quick alarm if I want a reminder a bit later. I can click through to Tasker and do various things like play two random tracks from a specific folder and set my phone volume (i tend to fall asleep to podcasts when I'm staying away from home at a hotel) or turn on the phone's light - also useful in a strange hotel room, especially if there's no socket to charge the phone by my bed and I wake up in the dark.

The tasker bit also allows me to start my phone voice recording without taking it out of my pocket, get the next 3 train times for journeys I do routinely but at varying times and even lets me fire up Soundhound and identify a song that's playing and send the info to my wrist.

In short, it's set up to do a bunch of things I do fairly often, with fewer button presses/swipes than it would take to do them on my phone.

Also, I can put QR codes on it as canvas watchfaces when I have an e-ticket.

And I've still got two app slots free that I swap other things into occasionally when I think I'll need them for that day/evening.
