Question for Reds fans re: Marge Schott

I don’t have a great answer, but I’ll try. First, it’s important to note that Marge Schott has a reputation for being insensitive. And that may be putting it lightly. I haven’t heard the audio, I’m sure none exists of her comments on that, but given her history and the way she phrased it, she sounded like his death was a burden opening day, which it is, but more importantly someone just died. Her comments come across very selfishly as her first concern was with the game and herself and not the person who had just died. Simply, she valued the game more than the person.

I believe when people say that in response to the Boston Marathon, it’s in recognition of the tragedy had happened. I think when people say the Boston marathon was ruined, they’re saying it was ruined because people tragically died, not that the game was stopped because someone died. I hope that makes sense, if not, I can try to explain more
