I didn’t apply to the Honors College so I can’t answer that, but I did apply (and receive) the Presidential Scholarship. I’m sure you’re already aware of the requirements needed to even apply for it, and so if you have those your next step will be to write an essay. I believe my prompt was something about a technological innovation that had negative consequences in society or something along those lines. Just make sure you gets lots of feedback from people you know so that you have a great (and unique!) essay and you’ll be solid. My GPA was a 4.0 unweighted and my ACT score was a 31 (this was when the cutoff score was a 28), if that helps.
