  1. Better graphics doesn't translate to a better game, and there's appeal to sprites (which may be a generational thing). Most of the game is played on AUTO though, so you're not actively looking at the screen anyway. But actual character art is on par/better than other moba. That said, I mostly got into this cause I misplaced my ps1 SF1 disc the previous summer and was looking for something to fill that gap (and SF1:R released for the Switch).
  2. As grindy as you care to make it, with stat caps increasing on a rolling basis as more content releases. Some people grind stats for all units (200+), but you can clear all content with as little as 10 ~ 20 units, without even batting an eye at off-meta units. There aren't special resources locked behind end game content either, so it is casual friendly as well. Moreso now with the AUTO rematch feature.
  3. The game is 1-player. Not being a competitive game tends to make forum browsers mostly just talk about boss clear/pull strats.
  4. I don't follow the story (for any moba), since the writing is as generic as it gets. I mostly just pull for the meta and use characters I liked from their main game with different characters in the franchise.
