Seriously guys?

You guys need to wake up. If a game has flaws/ glitches/ bugs or something compareable, then there will be players abusing exactly these weaknesses. For coins, for experience points, for fun, to win - just because it is possible.

Just because something can be exploited doesn't mean that its ok to do so, especially when there isn't a simple fix available. Most suburban houses don't have great security, does that make it ok to rob them?

There isn't a market in pokemon and idk how it works in lol but I wouldn't be surprised if its as irrelevant as your previous example.

Players will never stop to abuse broken mechanics, it is the developers job to stop them. You can't expect everyone to stop taking advantage of flaws. EA could've fixed the market after it literally crashed and burnt to it's grounds, they could've made anything in their might to make the abuse impossible.

Yes, EA could have fixed the market, and how would they do that? Do you think that EA just sat on their asses? Are you still in primary school or something? Do you actually understand what is happening here? There is no simple fix, and you aren't dealing with a few accounts, you are dealing with a huge number of accounts and EA has been working on a fix since FUT14, and probably a little more covertly prior to that. They took the web app down to slow down auto buyers and stuff, which were screwing with the servers + the market in general.

When they couldn't find a fix, they started banning coin buyers who are just as bad as the sellers, and even got a few youtubers along the way. You can't keep pretending that there was a little switch they could flick to stop coin sellers, and you are fool to pretend that this is the case.

In fact their current approach, while having other consequences does a pretty good job of fucking coin sellers.

However they decided to take the web app market down

You want them to stop auto buyers and coin sellers, yet want the web app up, ok. Do you think that taking down the web app was their initial intention? Do you think they were happy to take down something that offered so much utility to the players that they had spent a lot of money on? Its not a step they would have liked to have made, but they did it to counter coin sellers

and to kick coin sellers out of business while also crippling trading by implementing fixed price ranges.

oh no, you can't trade :(, and then you realise that this is a football game. There are plenty of other games that are made for trading that actually have a lot better markets that are not only balanced, but actually require some degree of skill in order to do well. Trading on chess is like playing chess on beginner, yeah you might do well but its not exactly difficult. FUT is not designed for pure trading, its a football game with cards that involves some trading. If they are cutting out the traders but improving the experience for those that play the game, then its probably worth it in their eyes.

Did EA try to enhance our playing experience? F*** no, they want our money, the only thing that could make them work hard on their game. They stopped coin sellers for sure, and also ensured to make their player base more dependend on Fifa Points.
