[Race Thread] 2021 Tour de France - Stage 16 (2.UWT)

The tour route this year has been awful. The first few stages the roads were far too narrow and resulted in huge crashes and now the most DNFs in quite a while + lots of GC hopes quitting making it less exciting. Also 2 Time trials like why, 1 at the end is all you need. Basically that Time Trials and Stage 8 where Pogacar destroyed them on the Colombier have we seen actual time differences in GC (except O’Connors solo effort which was up the only mountain top finish funny that). It’s been really boring after the initial first stages tbh. Like unless Pogacar has really bad luck it’s a formality he wins. 2 mountain stage finishes they put the next 2 days is too little to late they needed a few more and would be more interesting. Plus maybe wouldn’t see the same sort of stage every day where a break goes 10 minutes + out in front and one guy goes solo on the last climb and just rides into the finish.
