Randolph & Region Vibe

Thanks. I meant "larger" towns as I know they're all comparatively small than a "large." I would say we're looking for a place that leans left or...left alone? Or, that has some arts and a cohesive, inclusive community. The places we've seen tat we've enjoyed include all the way up to Newport, the Groton area, Randolph, and south along the 100 corridor. St. Johnsbury also looked pretty cool. That said, we know very little about the culture/politics of those places and would welcome any opinions or suggestions. Our sense is also that the tourist towns we've seen (Woodstock, Manchester, Stowe) are pretty expensive but we have no idea how welcoming they are to outsiders that aren't tourists.
