Resume review, Struggling to find a graduate job

I think your CV is pretty decent. Some things you don’t have which the career guidance person told me was good to have when I was in college:

1) short bio/summary of yourself at top.

2) I’d move the skills to just below the summary and break them onto lines and write a bit about each (group similar skills)

3) you’ve totally left out any people/business skills. I’d add stuff around: “Experienced with the Microsoft Office suite of tools. Able to create high quality, professional documents and presentations” etc. “Works well in team settings, enjoys working with others to deliver the best value result for the business” “Fast-learner, endeavour to dig into a project to pick up the processes as quick as possible so value can be added to the team promptly” “Also capable of working alone, self-driven and able to push myself to deliver results”

^ there’s definitely a better way to phrase all them but I haven’t finished my second cup of coffee yet and my corporate brain has been shut off for the weekend. Words like “deliver”, “value”, “results”, they love all that stuff. You don’t want to sound like another code-monkey who can’t talk to people.

4) Add “References available on request” at the very bottom of the CV.

My suggestions will take your CV onto two pages, I wouldn’t worry about that. If you’re ever printing it, print it double sided - not two sheets stapled together.
