Agreed on both points. Thankfully Charles' quirkiness comes through over the remote lectures and the live chat while he's lecturing is always a good laugh. Joe was beginning and ending his lectures by playing something from his extensive record collection which we all loved.

I mostly feel for my classmates who are turning 18 or 19 at such a shitty time. First year of college should be about more than just academics, and they are missing out on the social aspect in a huge way. As a mature student who has been to college before, it's not as much of a big deal to me. But I feel like people's best memories in college are from first year. They don't quite seem to know what they are missing. Thankfully there have been quite a few discord groups set up so student's can maintain some form of contact and these are pretty active. But it's so weird that I have classmates I've played hours and hours of online games with and I still don't even know what they look like.
