Putin doesn't care about Germany, the Netherlands, France. He'd never go to war with any of those countries. He has a problem with ex-Soviet countries, like Ukraine.

So, maybe I don't give a flying fuck about a war somewhere there, in this mystical land plagued by corruption and civil unrest called Ukraine, but I do care about my own digital privacy and the way my government handles their relationship with the US, which inevitably has consequences for me? You think a Dutch guy like myself would lie awake at night because Putin took a "meaningless" chunk of of land from a country that has zero to none significance to my country, or even most of the EU?

It's the same bullshit, and I won't stand for it. The only reason you care about Ukraine is because you live in Lithuania, and you're scared shitless of Putin. Allow me to use the same inhumane, scumbag-logic that you drew upon earlier, and declare that I don't give a fuck about Lithuania either. Won't keep me up at night. Putin acquires a chunk of Ukraine and Lithuania, and suddenly he becomes an unstoppable overlord of unseen power? Of course not. The world survived much worse, and with our modern sense of ethnic belonging, I don't think he'd be able to sustain his "empire" for long. So why should I care about you and your shit, underdeveloped country?
