Yes, my point was that an addiction, if and when it does occur, is a far less serious matter when it's not an illicit substance that is expensive and requires committing a crime just to get it. Heroin addicts often turn their finances into a financial train wreck, only to die from adulterated an product that is sold to them by violent criminals and organized crime. If we replace these illicit markets with regulated ones, then chocolate is likely worse for someones health than continued heroin use. I know this is shocking to many and even hard for people who don't know about it to believe because heroin is demonized so much but it's true. In counties where they have made heroin available to addicts it no longer affects their life in a really negative way and many simply stop using at some point.
