Sadly it would appear the devs. have decided to change the coin without it being in the whitepaper or scheduled roadmap. Who is to say that they won't decide to completely cut miners out? Seeing that they can and will make changes at will we can't trust that they won't change any or every other aspect of the coin down the road. The community manager has posted in this thread claiming that they are "pro-POW" and "plan" to remain that way. To me that doesn't sound so reassuring. If they one day "plan" to decide they no longer need miners they can simply do another hardfork and redistribute what is left right now for miners yet again to the stakeholders.
