ServiceNow development | Data Engineering | Full Stack development

Seems like you already made up your mind looking at your responses to other comments, even though I feel like you are asking the wrong questions. Only you can decide which will be more rewarding in the long run.

I've also made the switch last year from SN development/consultancy to Data Engineering, mostly because I was looking for something more technically challenging. I found that my work felt most rewarding when I was developing (complex) custom solutions in ServiceNow, which just didn't happen that often. Given that I had done a Data Science master, it felt right up my alley to pursue Data Engineering. You don't have a lot to lose really. If you don't like it, you can always just go back or try something else. So far, I feel like Data Engineering is giving me a lot more satisfaction than SN was giving me.
