Is "set aside" discarding? Haven+Tunnel?

On the one hand, you're right that there are some extreme exceptions that require some forum checking. I've done it a few times myself.

But on the other hand, I think you and your friends just might be a little dense with regards to interpreting rules. Following the rule of "every card does exactly what is says" solves way more problems than you give it credit for.

I don't mean to come off as harsh but this example you brought up is a terrible example to try and prove that the game has ambiguous rules. It's a really straightforward interaction that's not up for any interpretation. You're trying to contextualize it to make it way more complicated than it is when all you have to do is read the card.

The fact that you're trying to interpret this extremely straightforward situation any other way makes think you and your group wastes a lot of time overthinking interactions that are much more elegant than you think. How many hours do Possession matches take you?

My advice? Stop trying to think about what latent meanings are behind the card instructions and just read the instructions. I know this is just another version of "Every card does exactly what it says" but you really need to have faith that that really does work.
